Terms of Service

Bocado is a web app that estimates the calories and macronutrients of meals from photos using artificial intelligence. By using Bocado you agree to these terms.

Not medical advice. Estimates are approximate and can be wrong. Bocado is not a medical device and does not replace a doctor, dietitian or nutritionist. Talk to a health professional before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant, under 18, or have a medical condition or a history of eating disorders.

Free use and purchase. Each device gets a few free photo analyses. After that, Bocado is unlocked with a yearly subscription, which renews automatically and is charged again each year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Settings in the app, or by emailing us; access continues until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are processed by Whop, which also sends your receipt. One subscription can be used on up to 3 devices by unlocking each with the email you paid with.

Fair use. Photo analysis is for personal use. Each device has a monthly analysis limit sized for normal personal use; if you reach it, you can keep logging meals manually until the next month. We may revoke access used for abuse, resale or automated access.

Availability. We work to keep Bocado running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided “as is”, to the extent permitted by law.

Privacy Policy

Your log stays on your device. Your profile (age, height, weight, goal) and meal history are stored only in your browser on your device. We do not have an account system and do not receive this data. Deleting the app data or using “Delete all my data” erases it.

Photos. When you analyze a photo, it is sent to our server and to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) to produce the estimate. We do not store your photos; Anthropic processes them under its commercial terms and does not use them to train its models. A small thumbnail is kept only on your device.

What our server stores. A random device identifier, how many analyses it has used, the AI cost for the month, and, if you bought Bocado, your purchase ID and the email you paid with. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard request data such as IP address.

Payments. Whop collects your payment details and email for the purchase. We receive your email and order details, not your card.

Your rights. Email us to ask what we hold about your device or license, or to delete it. We do not sell personal data.

Advertising measurement. Our website uses the Meta Pixel to measure our ads: it tells Meta when a page is visited, when checkout starts and when a purchase completes (with the price), along with standard browser data such as IP address and cookies. It never receives your profile, meals or photos. You can limit this with your browser's tracking settings or an ad blocker.

Refund Policy

If Bocado isn’t for you, email us within 14 days of your purchase or of a renewal charge and we’ll refund that payment in full — no questions asked. Refunds are processed through Whop to your original payment method, and access is removed.

Una suscripción funciona en hasta 3 dispositivos (se desbloquean con tu email) y hay un límite mensual de análisis para uso personal: si lo alcanzás, seguís cargando a mano.

Privacidad. Tu perfil y tus comidas se guardan solo en tu teléfono. Las fotos se envían para analizarlas (a nuestro servidor y a Anthropic, proveedor del modelo Claude) y no se guardan. Nuestro servidor guarda un identificador aleatorio del dispositivo, el uso de análisis y, si compraste, tu número de compra y tu email. No vendemos datos. Usamos el Pixel de Meta para medir nuestros anuncios (visitas, inicio de compra y compra, más datos estándar del navegador como IP y cookies); nunca recibe tu perfil, tus comidas ni tus fotos.

Reembolsos. Si Bocado no te sirve, escribinos dentro de los 14 días de la compra o de una renovación y te devolvemos el total, sin preguntas.
